It’s been clear from the beginning how much we love Writer’s Digest, and as it turns out, the feeling is mutual! The Your Story contest, a recurring photo-prompt competition hosted by Writer’s Digest Magazine, just announced their newest 12 finalists, and we are lucky number 12!

What is the Your Story Contest?

Writer’s Digest sponsors periodic contests based around different pictures, with no restrictions on subject matter or genre—hence, the name: Your Story. Contests switch from flash fiction to single-sentence stories, and the most recent iteration, Your Story #114, involves one sentence entries—using the picture as inspiration to write an opening line to a story. Finalists are chosen by WD staff, and then posted online for voting! Entries that receive enough votes may be published in a future issue of the magazine.

How to vote

The WD website has a page where the picture and all twelve entries are posted together, and at the bottom of the page is the poll where you can vote for us!
