Today is publication day for Jennifer’s newest story “A Complication,” published in Black Cat Weekly #258. In this watch-themed heist story, a retired safecracker must agree to one last job to save his brother from his debts. It was a really fun story to write, and nice to write about a place (Las Vegas) I’ve visited before! “A Complication” has also been mentioned on the blog before, when it was given an Honorable Mention award at last year’s Writer’s Digest Annual Writing Competition.

Black Cat Weekly publishes short stories, novelettes, older novels, and everything in between, from mysteries to science fiction and fantasy. This issue can be found here. I’m so grateful to join BCW before the magazine closes in October; this has been a real bucket-list market and I can’t say enough good things about the stories and authors that have appeared in the many issues of the magazine!
