Today is the long-awaited publication day for Jennifer’s short story Redemption Blues. Selected as the featured story in the May/June print edition of The Saturday Evening Post, Redemption Blues re-imagines the Garden of Gethsemane as a western, set in a Nevada silver-mining town at the end of the American Frontier. This story has been talked about on the blog before, when it was named a Writer’s Digest Honorable Mention and Screencraft Quarter-Finalist, and we are so happy that it’s found such a wonderful home in the pages of the Post!

We’ve talked about The Saturday Evening Post on the blog before, too—the magazine celebrates its 204^th birthday this summer, and has published names ranging from Bradbury to Wodehouse and everyone in-between. This is also our second short story to be featured in the Post—published in 2021, “The Self-Made Man” can be read here.
