One year ago, we posted about winning the Writer’s Digest Annual Writing Competition. In fact, we’ve written about the WDAWC every year since 2020. This year is no exception!
Writer’s Digest Magazine supports writers in every genre and at every stage in their careers through articles, workshops, and various competitions that the magazine runs each year for short fiction and novel-length works. The annual competition, which draws over 3,500 entries in multiple categories, is their most popular and longest-running. We’re very proud to have had so many stories recognized over the years!
This year, in the 93rd Annual Writer’s Digest Annual Writing Competition, we had stories recognized in both the genre and mainstream/literary categories.
In the Genre Category:
“The Apex” won 5th place
“The Running Game” was awarded honorable mention
“The Third Men” was awarded honorable mention
And in the Mainstream/Literary Category:
“Eat Your Heart Out” was awarded honorable mention
Thanks to the readers, judges, and WD Magazine for their support of our work over the past five years! More information about the WDAWC can be found here. To read the prizewinning short story Stranger, published last year in Writer’s Digest, follow this link.
